Trust Info / Contact Us

Wildern became a stand alone academy in 2011.  On the 1st July 2018 it became a Multi Academy Trust (MAT).

The key principles and ethos of the Trust are built on Care, Opportunity and Quality. We are ambitious for all our students and offer a clear focus on achievement for all, providing outstanding high quality education for all our learners who understand cultural diversity within a global context and as a consequence a culture of respect pervades throughout.

The Trust believes that a broad and balanced curriculum offer is a fundamental entitlement for all learners.  A positive experience across all subjects is vital which includes inclusion of the Arts to promote personal development, self-reliance, creativity and independence of thought, promoting confidence and responsibility.

The Trust currently has two schools, Wildern School, the original and largest school within the Trust, and a recently opened new primary school Boorley Park. In 2021 the third school Deer Park will open as another secondary school serving a large catchment area with Wildern. Together these three schools form the Wildern MAT and will, when fully grown, serve and support over 3500 learners within our community.

The Trust is built on a culture of high expectations, mutual respect and excellent behaviour and each school upholds these key principles. Wildern is already a high performing school and all schools within the Trust will work to achieve the same high standards and outcomes for each student and they evolve. This will ensure that students are ready for life beyond school.

The three stated multi academy aims for are:

  1. To enhance the opportunities and successes enjoyed by all present and future students and staff.
  2. To develop further Wildern School’s track record of contributing to school improvement, innovation and transformation both within the school, locally within our immediate family of schools and for the wider system as a whole and use this as a model for the new free schools to be opened.
  3. To develop further Wildern School’s wider community role and our contribution to opportunities for our stakeholders in our immediate community, particularly in the arts and sport, to ensure the new schools provide the same to their communities.
